Lockhart Business Advisory has its origins in Lanarkshire, where it traded as James Lockhart & Co for over 30 years prior to merging with a top-ten national firm in 2007. In late 2009, the remaining partner formed Lockhart Business Advisory in order to continue to build on our enviable reputation for providing excellent advice and first class service to our business and personal clients alike.

 

We have many clients in the local community and provide services to businesses, small and large, across many sectors including:

Jim Lockhart MA, CA

Jim qualified with an independent practice in Lanarkshire prior to spending six years in Cambridge, firstly working with a big four practice, and then gaining industry experience through positions at a manufacturing plc and an international design agency. He returned to Scotland in 2004 to join James Lockhart & Co, which grew quickly and was eventually merged with a top ten national firm in 2007. In late 2009 Jim formed Lockhart Business Advisory Limited.

Jim is vastly experienced in tax and accounting issues for both corporate and personal clients alike, and is also involved in business strategy and fundraising for clients.

Graham Love, CA

Graham qualified with an independent practice in Hamilton in 1994, where he developed his trade prior to joining a top-ten national firm in 2008. During this period he further expanded his technical and advisory skills and experience prior to joining Lockhart Business Advisory. Graham’s work is focused on all aspects of Owner Managed Business.

Jim Lockhart Snr (Consultant)

Jim Lockhart Snr acts as a consultant to the company and has many years of advisory experience with owner managed businesses in a variety of sectors. He started James Lockhart & Co in 1978 and has continued to provide first-class advice and client service throughout this time.
